TGIFriday Night

Even though the whole concept of "weekends" is kind of meaningless right now, I'm just so freaking happy it's Friday. It's started turning more and more autumn and I absolutely love it, even though it is really freaking chilly outside.

Last night I managed to film a slew of videos I'll be posting slowly over the next few days (because as I've stated before, I don't want to be *that* person who floods your subbie box with 5 videos in one day just because I had the time to do so... sorry :). Like I mentioned before it'll be an update video, a mail time and a haul.

Before I left my grandparent's house I promised my grandpa that I would get all the pictures off my Granny's camera and get them printed out for him before he starts his travels. He's going to be in the Bahamas, Thailand and India over the next few months. Which I think is awesome and amazing, and of course he'd need a camera for that! :) I'm hoping to get that done before Monday, I need to get a package shipped out to him before he leaves.

I'm also in charge of putting together a package for my aunt. Since she didn't get to be there at the end (and since I ended up with many special baubles from my granny), I thought it would only be fair for me to pick out some special things to send to her. I don't really remember her at all (except for when I was very small), but she still held a special place in my granny's heart, I think she deserves some things to remember her by too.

Actually, the first day I was back I went through almost everything I had brought home with my little brother. I wanted to make sure he took as many things that reminded him of her as possible. She was a special lady and deserved to be remembered all the time as far as I'm concerned.

Which brings me to right now, I'm slowly going through my things. I need to get rid of a lot of stuff. Since I brought home things of my granny's the dire need to eliminate more of my own things for space is unavoidable. I have ridiculous amounts of books, beauty products and craft supplies. I may have a slight hoarding issue (albeit it is under control, organized and sorted there is just *so* much of it right now). And most of the things I have left are actually really nice quality and serve purpose so there's no real reason to get rid of anything except for the sheer volume of it all. Babe must really love me to love all my junk too... (just a thought..)

All this unloading of clutterful things just makes me antsy for our next move. I really can't wait to have my own home again. And closets. I miss the heck out of having a nice large bedroom closet. It makes you feel like you have a lot less stuff when you can just shove it all behind closed doors ;)

I don't know why I feel bored by everything right now. But I do.

The only good thing to come out of this really was that my sleeping schedule is kind of back to normal. I caught up on all my nights sleep this week and I've been steadily going to bed before 1AM (usually ;).

Other thoughts:

-I'm putting together all my card making supplies to make Christmas cards with my mominlaw. I'm hoping this would be able to use up a decent part of my craft stash in the process.

-I want to get a pumpkin this year and take stereotypical black cat pictures for Halloween. I'm going to force Indy to be cute and photogenic.

-I'm planning to visit my mum again soon, possibly in November if things don't pick up (in terms of plans, etc.)

-I'm so tired and bored of nothing good happening, today was no different : /

I know what you mean about closets! I would give anything to have a few closets again. There's basically no storage space in my apartment!

I'm chuckling at the closets ... when I married my now ex husband, in 1995, I went from my parents house, where I had a walk in bedroom closet, not to mention perpetual and endless storage, in the basement, to - a 2 bedroom apt that was an old converted wooden barn WITH NO CLOSETS. Beautiful view! Beautifully built! But no closets! Now, for two people, I figured this wouldn't be an issue (yeahhh, I can hear you laughing at me!) ... several months later, we went to relocate for his school... we were looking at a mobile home to rent, which was essentially a single-wide, three rooms (plus bath) -- and when I walked into the bedroom - THREE CLOSETS!!! No more clothes, etc, etc, on display all the time like I was living in a museum! Closets were always something I took for granted until then!
