Thinking of Titles is Hard

One of the best things I learned about myself and writing is that I'm terrible at thinking of titles for poems or stories. I usually like it to be simple and ambiguous rather than something too clever. I think writing posts here more often may be able to help my brain stretch that much further. Because every post must have a title and it must be interesting to be read. I kind of wussed out on thinking creatively today, because as you can see the title of this post is very unoriginal.

Last night I de-stashed part of my makeup collection. It's not surprise that I take an occasionally long time letting things go (especially when it's mostly used up or nearing expiration) and that's because I'm kind of a pack rat (something we've talked about before). I realize that I have a lot of stuff and I've been going about separating out what I'll absolutely need if we move vs. things that just have an usual amount of emotional significance to me.

I usually get more inspired after watching an episode of Hoarders, this is a fact.

So far the only thing I've really permanently packed are the Christmas decorations (which I will under no circumstances part with... I feel like part of the magic of Christmas is soaked somewhere inside all those decorations and I love making my home smell like Christmas with the proper decorations, like I just said it's just part of the magic). I've also packed my yarn collection (because I've already trimmed out all the stuff I won't need) and my hand bag collection (because I've already donated as many bags as I could part with).

My fabrics and sewing stuff are in boxes, but they aren't sealed in case I need to use anything for a project.

I have a modest VHS collection that is still boxed that I'm taking with me until I die because there are movies in that box that I can't find anywhere on dvd and that makes me really sad. I'll have it hooked up to a small tv if I ever get my workspace to the proper order I'd like it to be.

So that's what I've done so far... trying really hard to be able to downsize everything to fit inside a 10' moving truck. I've done it before, I'm sure I can do it again...

Picture of the day? (edit: a few days later.. it's wee Thursday morning now!)

I took swatches of the beautiful Jesse's Girl 9-color baked powder eyeshadow collection. Here are some of the pics! I kind of love them all, they're all lovely :)
