Halloween Things

Hello again friends :) I'm making slow progress on the donation mountain growing upstairs in the living room. I've also been sprucing up my living quarters with some really awesome Halloween decorations. I've decided one of the things I'd like to start collecting is a modest assortment of decorative items for each holiday. Something about decorating my living space really makes moments of nostalgia that much more present.

I've also been thinking a lot about my branding. In that I'm talking about the banner/ color scheme of this fine blog here. I really adore the banner I have at the moment, but it's years old and I kind of feel like this place needs a facelift. I have to say I am happy with the present color scheme/ type face so I'll probably be leaving that the same. But a new banner, I'm going to break out my colored pencils for it! (Who knows how long this will take...)

As we are on the subject of colored pencils I should note that I'm currently browsing reference pictures in effort to design my second tattoo. I'm seriously considering getting an owl, and am going to be taking some time to put together a personalized design for myself. As this progresses, I'll be sure to document it, as I didn't have the resources to document my first tattoo (a hot air balloon over my lower right rib)...

(my first tattoo, modest design, a little shading..)

Also, Babe and I are currently watching episodes of The Twilight Zone via Netflix. This is most convenient for this time of year :)

Picture of the day!

I thought I'd share a few pictures of what it looks like around my living quarters, I've got my halloween decorations up, thought I'd share a few pictures :D

A pumpkin lantern I found at the Dollar Tree some years ago...

A pumpkin bell I had as a kid (one of two, missing the second one : / ), I used to wear these to school on my shoes when I was in elementary school. Drove the teacher nuts!

I've taken a picture like this before, but it doesn't stop me from loving it (or taking a different picture each year:), I received these two creepy guys in a package from Patty aka ColoredSprinkleGirl!

This is an owl shaped home fragrance oil burner I got at Bath and Body Works recently (2011).

This is an owl shaped metal candle holder also purchased from Bath and Body Works recently (2011).

This is pretty much what the top of my dresser looks like currently. I've shown the top of my jewelry box before (nothing much has changed there). I mostly wanted to show you all the cupcake shaped metal candle holder, the white mini owl candle holder and the smaller metal owl candle holder (can you tell I was a big fan of candle holders this year? :), all personally purchased from Bath and Body Works 2011.

I also secretly wanted to share that picture because it seems sort of creepy... and this is totally the month to be all about creepy things! :D

I've been trying to decorate my house for halloween, but I don't have many decorations so it's not looking the best!
