Nifty

It's my duty to get my stuff skinnied down to the bare essentials. It takes me months to move sometimes, seriously.  I feel like I'm constantly sifting through my things looking to downsize. I'm a bit of a pack rat, but really admire how minimalist other people can be sometimes.

This leads me to discuss my Nifty (yes it was so Nifty it warranted a capitalized 'N'!) project last night. I went though all of our DVDs and selected just about 70% of them to be taken out of their cases and put in the ginormous CD book I had from when I was in high school. It's the neatest thing ever in the history of ever... I got so into it, I emptied out as much as I could into two smaller cd books as well.

We managed to get rid of (and by that I mean recycle [and by that I mean ripping the plastic covers off all the DVD cases so that there wouldn't be two types of plastic on it, thereby making it more recyclable..]) ... anyway, where was I? We got rid of a whole medium sized packing box of plastic cases.

I'm going to be going through my bookcase soon, (this includes Babe's comics).. and also *ALL* of our kitchen things. I know there's at least 20% I could donate/recycle/giveaway there, possibly more alone. I also have 4 packages put together for giveaway time. I just need a good theme. If you have any ideas, please leave it as a comment. I'd love to know what you guys over here think. (I've also been thinking about doing a blog-only giveaway, for people who like to read me over here:)

Babe and I are watching Monster House, I've lit the Halloween JackOLantern I picked up at the dollar store some years back. It most definitely feels like full swing Autumn. He's been playing Batman Arkham City since the weekend, his mom picked up a copy for him to cheer him up (which was really nice of her, I'll spare the details on why he needed cheering up, if you don't mind...)

Okay! Back to work. I was thinking about doing a video today, but I'm not quite sure what, I know I need to film my Q&A (from questions asked in a previous giveaway video...) There were just *so* many of them, maybe I should just break it down into smaller parts (different vids?)... Who knows... We'll see what I come up with!

(I'm also thinking about doing a DIY decorating shirt tutorial instead of the Q&A, it would be more fun than answering questions ((though I will get to that some day I swear... x))- I found a set of studs, and thought a studded shirt look would be fun. I also found my box of shirts that need to be dyed. I'm thinking of doing a few shirts per week and doing a series of DIY shirt decoration ideas or something like that)

Oh by the way too, I ended up making a new banner for my Youtube channel and my blog. It's already been changed. I really like it a lot better than the other one (which I had for years and years and years...)

I've been really in an "out with the old, and in with the new" attitude lately ;)
