...than death, taxes and kitty pee. Seriously. I'm so for seriously right now. I just got done bathing the kitty babies. Not only did they scream kitty cries of water and soap torture, but poor Indy got so scared and peed on my leg. Luckily none got on my clothes, but it did get all over the floor which means I had the wonderful luxury of not only cleaning both kitties, but cleaning the shower and bathroom floor as well (which did need to be done anyway, but now I'm kind of exhausted). I'm also doing laundry tonight btw.
Babe is sleeping. We had a seeming nice day out, we went to Thai food for dinner at The Old Siam By Siam Kitchen [on Jackson Ave. in Ann Arbor]:
Dinner wasn't that great, and the service was kind of brief and inattentive, and it was scarily quiet. We were sat *RIGHT* next to two other couples where we could hear the conversations of everyone sitting next to us because they had NO music playing (?).... When we ordered the appetizer (satay), it was decent and average, but at the main course one of our dishes was made incorrectly. When I asked why, if we ordered two of the same dishes, why one would end up looking/tasting completely different than the second one?- we both ordered yellow curry and one was made deliciously (although questionable in texture, it was too watery), and the other was curdled and tasteless. He explained that the chicken makes the curry curdle and the reason why mine was different is because I had ordered shrimp (WHAT BS!). I could also tell they did not use coconut milk, or if they did they didn't use as much as I would have liked : / The least that they did for us was comp our drinks and the ill made dish, but needless to say I will not be eating there ever again. It was such an awkward experience, here I am taking the time to explain how awkward the experience is on the interwebs, but not so much that I would go and post a snarky comment on their Yelp or Google Reviews page... but it's still here as evidence of one couple's dining experience here, and I even tipped the waiter 25% even though he didn't do anything extraordinary to deserve it. Mostly I felt guilty for sending back the dish we received . SIGH (10.9.11).
Why is guilt such a heavy hand? And why do I feel guilty about things (like the aforementioned situation), where I don't really have any good reason to feel that way?! ARGH.
*Frustrating day*
So anywho! I'm still cleaning, and separating and packing and repacking and then looking through again [what a vicious cycle], all my belongings. I didn't get much done yesterday because we hung out at my inlaws house Friday and Saturday, making it back pretty late last night. I did manage to move my desk, because of a quite horrifying incident.
Imagine sitting at my computer desk, unsuspectingly typing away on the computer when some sort of weird creepy crawling thing dangling from the ceiling drops down into the stack of books next to you. It disappears, but you know its there. Horrifying! D: There is an opening in the ceiling right above where my desk used to be. It's kind of void into the little space between the main level and the basement. It never bothered me until now, but I can't sit in that place anymore now! I'm pretty sure it was a centi- mili- pede-type organism which totally gives me the heebie geebies. yeah... heebie geebies!
The picture of the day will be something from my craft pics stash:
These are the three mini prizes for my Youtube channel cupcakeonawire that will be going out in the mail tomorrow-
